Quantity verses Quality?
I have been asked by several brides recently how many pictures we average per wedding? My answer is always "unlimited picture taking with all of our coverage". We find that all of our clients say that they can't find a bad picture in the bunch even at just over one hundred pictures per hour. When I hear others claim that they take 1200 to 1500 images in 5 hours with one or two shooters and I do the math, I am amazed to discover that equates to one picture every 15 seconds the entire time. That includes the dinner hour when people generally do not want to be photographed while eating. I find that to be unrealistic and certainly even more overwhelming for a client to try to select the final images for their album unless they have an unlimited budget. I have seen some of the work those photographers capture and I find there is 10 to 15 pictures of the same exact pose. Think about it. Is it really necessary?
